This Conservative Movement is a leadership movement.
Like for the Declaration of Independence – the current landscape shouts for a set of cohesive principles that will stand the test of time.
This Movement is the backbone and umbrella for any candidate and the Republican Party.
It is for Citizens who seek a secure, honor driven world for themselves and their children.
We are a lifeline to the 21st Century for greater thought and humanitarian action.

Loving Children is the essence of humanity
This is a concept on which most Americans agree so we have a unifying cause.
This is also how love and humanity are passed on generation to generation.

Parent/Child love is the strongest interpersonal bond we have.
Substitute government for this bond and Freedom will be destroyed.
How could this happen, you ask? Sex education in schools, for one example.

Parent/Child love is our government’s vested interest in the family.
Historically, families have provided our morality, our education and our social security.
Substitute government for the family and Freedom will be destroyed.

We have just highlighted two Conservative principles as examples that we can show and win debate.

This Conservative Movement memorializes the first set of conservative principles for debate.
By debating principles and forming positions based on principle - we own the high road!
We also own “what works” because that is where the principles come from.
By debating principles, we take away the NUMBER ONE weapon of the Left – personal attack!
By debating principles – we unmask the Left’s true objectives.
By creating a monument of principles to debate – we transcend any individual Representative.
If Conservatives invest in educating Americans on the principles, we create a residual return on our political investment – it does not end when the politician does.

The failure of conservatism in the face of the onslaught from the Left is that it never existed as an entity that can be taught to the populace.
Most Conservatives knew on faith what they meant by it – the “I know it when I see it thing.”
But that has no expandability or recruitability.
William F. Buckley is the original poster boy for Conservative thought.
He did not reach the masses – he in fact made Conservative look like elite intellectualism.
Smaller government – the noble mission of the Lincoln Club – has no meaning to most voters
Libertarians are the standard bearer of smaller government and they get no where.
And the fatal error is holding up Ronald Reagan as the OZ which no one can duplicate.
Reagan was great because he was conservative – conservatism is not great because he was one – but he is a spectacular endorsement.
By memorializing the principles with which Reagan governed – people can learn them and believe in them.
The Heritage Foundation does not help with “What would Reagan do?”
It discounts every leader who comes after him and makes them smaller.

We speak of Freedom often, but what is the Freedom of which we speak?
It is Freedom from our own government interfering with our “…inalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
America is the only country where every child is born with unlimited opportunity.
It is our Freedom that makes America great, not our wealth.
Our wealth is the symbol of how freedom allows every American to achieve.

America is the result of a seven+ year fighting war and four years of continuous debate to INVENT a system of government under which people have the freedom to achieve their fullest potential AND at the same time, LIMIT the result of said achievement from going so far as to take away everyone’s freedom again.

Our Founders wrestled with four concepts for four years because they knew that government of the people, by the people and for the people required that the people to have these concepts.
Freedom requires a moral society – most people need to do the right thing.
And that starts with personal responsibility.
Freedom requires an informed society – people must have information to elect and manage their citizen representatives.
Freedom requires the leadership and representatives to be motivated to serve with honor and be dedicated to preserving our freedom.
Freedom requires a Free Press to sound the alarm when our Freedom is threatened.
These are concepts that must exist inside “we the people” – they cannot be codified.

The foundation of Conservatism is maintaining the belief in these four concepts along with our founding documents - The Declaration of Independence and our Constitution.
Destroy these concepts and Freedom is destroyed.

Conservatism is the banner under which “we the people” can unite to preserve America.
Conservatism is not a Republican Party invention – it is America itself.

America has always been divided by ideology – it is a natural extension of Free Speech and power.
History opines that barely 40% of Americans favored the war against King George.
But that 40% included the strongest leadership and Freedom was invented.
The Continentals were truly in the fight to create a free people and not to exercise power
This is the MIRACLE of America – and the Left has been trying to change it ever since.

America is seriously divided once again and the dividing issue is the very fabric of America.
Our Freedom itself is at stake and “we the people” must take action.
Our government is dysfunctional and that has brought us to chaos and it needs fixed now.
Uniting America has been the campaign cry since President Reagan – but it has not happened because it cannot happen and we will explain why.
With both Republicans and Democrats in the 30th percentile, growing Conservatism is the answer.
If we do not push hard in 2010 and 2012, it is only going to get harder to restore Freedom.

Circumstances today, as bad as they seem, represent the opportunity to transform America into a
1/3 Left – 2/3 Conservative Movement country.
Clearly the Republican Party is the foundation but it does not have enough people.
When successful, the Republican Party can inherit the result.
In addition, the people will be forever vigilant into the future.

This Conservative Movement is the key to attracting the un-declared to our side long term.
We have now proved Democrat Light is a total failure for Republicans.
There is no political middle, there is only Non-Republicans and Non-Democrats
We are a two party country.
There is no Left-Right continuum in politics.
This concept only serves to discount “Strong Believers” by equating them to the ends of a Bell Curve that routinely get discarded.
People of faith are simply people of faith – not “Far Right”.
Politics is groups in a circle
There is a Republican circle and there is a Democrat circle.
Different people and groups identify with each circle and some not at all.
And when the polls open, we add them up.
In America, there are two other circles – Conservative and Liberal
This Conservative Movement is going to capture the most people.
The Republican brand has been tarnished by politics and will not recover until it understands the power of Conservative principles.
This Movement can open doors because we are not the Republican Brand
Same manufacturer – but a new product.

Before we can recruit new people to conservatism, we need to understand the opposing message.
Conservatives believe that we should pass Freedom of opportunity to our children.
This is the gift for which our Founders and our soldiers died.
This is the meaning of America – it is the land of opportunity.
The Liberal message is that they can pass Freedom from Fear by government to our children.
Do not fear losing your job; government will pay you.
Do not fear getting sick; government will heal you.
Do not fear getting old; government will take care of you.
Do not fear if someone says something hurtful to you – government will silence them.
Do not fear losing a game; government will give everyone a trophy.
History has proven many times over that government cannot deliver on this promise.
This is why we will win when we force the debate on principles.
But we have yet to have this debate – because until know, we have not had a monument of principles.

In order to recruit more followers, we must understand that we cannot unify the country – we can only recruit followers to Conservatism.
If one side has wine and one side has poison – a little bit of each is not the answer.
If you do not like that analogy – use oil and water – they do not mix.
This is the pathology of John McCain and Moderate Republicans.
Their solutions are political expediency – not solutions.
Republicans are losing because they are the only side that weakens their principles.
Democrats are winning because they stick to their positions (cant say principles with Democrats).

To succeed in recruiting more followers, we must project our positive message loudly and end the constant negative attacks on every little thing a Democrat does.
Republicans are approaching McCarthyism in their behavior – it is not pretty.

If the Left holds up UGLY and says it is beautiful, and it is the only thing they see, people will believe it.
If Republicans only shout “that is Ugly,” the people still want to believe it is Beautiful.
It is mandatory that we establish Conservatism as the “Beauty” of politics.
People will then see the difference and adopt it for generations.
Until this Movement, the debate was mostly accomplished by pontificating by both sides.

We win converts by holding up our principles and challenging the Left to hold up theirs.
Reagan said government is the problem.
What he meant was, government bureaucracy is the problem.
There is a principle of bureaucracy – it is the least productive system of management.
Because there is no achievement motivation in government – bureaucracy is the only management system government has available.
By definition, there is nothing the private sector can do, that the government can do better.
Especially Health Care
Government should not touch health care until every private option is exhausted.
We will hear a lot about bureaucracy as we tackle reducing the size of government.

We win converts by holding up our history and demanding the Left hold up theirs.
O’Bama said with great authority that “a worker based economy is best for the middle class” – not once was he asked to validate it. This CM will change this scenario.
History tells us the champion of the worker based economy is Che Guevara.
What drew you to the “worker based economy,” Mr Obama?
Show us where in the world it is working today.
If political ads would demand that good questions be answered instead of attacking, even if unanswered, the residual doubt might make people lass likely to vote “feel good.”

To be effective in the debate with the undeclared, we need to have a handlebar for the opposition.
The opposition is “The Left”– a group with which few individuals actually identify.
Therefore, people can adopt Conservatism without re-crimination.
We are looking for converts; we are not looking for winners and losers.
Too many people call themselves Liberals to make this direct attack stick.
Good people’s good intentions are being perverted by the Left – do not attack them directly.

The good news is, most Americans already are Conservative – they just got caught up in the slander and the freebies – “Give a man a fish, he eats for a day – give him a cow, he can eat for months.”
70% of America says they believe in a God
If they also believe in Freedom – they already have the essence of Conservatism.
Conservative as a long term solution to bring peace and prosperity to “we the people.”

The Left knows and FEARS the power of Conservatism.
In spite of our totally positive offering to converts, we on the inside must understand that the Left is engaged in a relentless war against what Conservative America stands for and it is working.
They are focused, coordinated, well funded and ruthless.
But make no mistake – gay marriage, abortion, In God We Trust, free love - these are fights the Left starts for the express purpose of demonizing Conservatives and driving religion from the public space.
Republicans MUST stop responding to these attacks as intellectually isolated events and fight back with the broad based POWER of proven principle against the people who started the fight.
It is not that different with the way Iran uses Hezbollah
Demonstrations have a small actual effect on the people but magnified in the press, it can greatly influence an activist judge.
Taking modern social issues to court is a form of anarchy.
Social issues are easily won on principle – it’s those saying drop the social issues that must go because they are dropping America with them.
A great tragedy of our time is that the Party of Lincoln allowed the Left to demonize and slander Republicans as racist, intolerant and exploitive while we were in the very midst of defending America’s Freedom and values – talk about lack of courage and leadership!!!
This could have been avoided if a monument to Conservative principles had existed.
The fact is that the policies of the Left never work and CANNOT work for the people.
And the reason is the principle of “The law of unintended consequences.”
The Left’s policies violate economic law, natural law and social law.
What is so insidious about the Left is that they know this and do not care
The Left is about its own power, period, over and out.
These forces are always present in politics and will never go away.

The education bureaucracy is an “Agenda delivery System.”
Capture African-American, Latino and Jewish Democrat votes
Interrupt Democratic cash flows such as Planned Parenthood and Unions
Attack the Associated Press – the hidden source of news mischief
Bring to light opinion polling abuse

Conservative money needs to fully support the effort of this Conservative Movement.
If the people understand Conservatism is greatness, individual politicians need only agree
Our strategy is lower cost and it lasts.
This Conservative Movement will provide a long term return on political investment.

EXTRA CREDIT

Freedom requires a moral society to succeed – most people in fact do the right thing.
Religion is the center of our morality in society.
Religion is the embodiment of the concept of God from which our inalienable rights are derived.
Our Constitution states: Congress shall pass no law interfering with the free exercise of religion.
Practicing religion is constitutionally protected behavior – practice away!!
There is no doctrine of Freedom From Religion anywhere in the fabric of America.
Why does the Left work so hard to minimize religion in our lives?
The left wants us dependant on government and not our spirit as free people.
Conservatives will never allow this to happen.

Freedom requires an informed electorate to succeed – the citizens must have factual information.
Control education and the meaning of Freedom is controlled as well.
The Left has revealed itself with its agenda driven education bureaucracy
Conservative leadership will step up and parents and teachers will take back our schools.
The Free Press is the second information delivery system on which we used to depend
The traditional press has revealed itself as a propaganda machine for the Left.
Without any name calling, critical thinkers have to see the similarities to Pravda.
The Associated Press and three major newspapers now effect political news
We are in the information age and Conservatives will catch up with our message.

Freedom requires our citizen representatives to serve with honor for “we the people.”
The pabulum of the Left is Freedom From Fear Through Government.
This was rolled out twice with the New Deal and The Great Society.
It matters not what the Left’s motivation or higher purpose is, THIS DOES NOT WORK.
No controlled society has ever empowered its people and this is the essence of Freedom!
Critical thinking has been removed from our education system but if it were there, students would ask – If the New Deal worked, why did we need The Great Society?
Today they would ask – if neither worked, why are we trying it again?
Failure throughout history is sufficient justification to end the concept once and for all.
No government can deliver freedom from fear – it is an empty promise.
Conservatives own the high road with the working principles in this endeavor.
McCarthyism was the worst of assigning bad motivations to people even though the threat was and is real – WE WIN ON THE PRINCIPLES.

Government has always been about power over people, going all the way back in time.

Totalitarian Despots have always wanted more power, more territory and more control for themselves.
This is the world history from which our founders invented America.
Hitler, Tojo and Stalin are too familiar to our Greatest Generation.
Mau, Krushchev, Gorbachev and Bin Laden are known to most everyone today.
These are the forces against which our leaders must defend America.
These forces will never be defeated until all people are free.
It is American’s willingness to die for Freedom that has kept America free.
Those who have lost a loved one in war best understand the love of Freedom.
Everyone has lost a loved one, so each person can measure their own love of Freedom.

Power is equally necessary in our own government – wimps cannot defend or run America.
Neither party has a monopoly on power - Democrats have actually led more defense of America.
Woodrow Wilson in WW I
Truman dropped the Atom Bomb in WW II – nobody’s topped that one.
Kennedy stared down Krushchev in Cuba.

The point of referencing power is that “we the people” need to understand how strong political forces are and how hard we need to push to turn the forces of politics back to governing for the people.

The good news is, We The People have the power to do it!!!
