“Government is not the solution; government is the PROBLEM” – Ronald Reagan.
Why Government Is The Problem
Government has only one management system available - Bureaucracy.
Reagan meant Government Bureaucracy was the problem.
One extra word opens debate instead of walling people off
Business was ruthless in killing bureaucracy 40 years ago.
Bureaucracy cannot allow initiative, cannot reward initiative and attracts like minded people.
Government has zero incentive to reduce spending until we give them one.
After all, it is our money they spend.
By definition, Government must be the highest cost, least efficient solution to any problem except those things only government can do.
Government by definition is POWER at all levels
Government attracts power hungry people and is least attractive to competent people.
Occasionally a hero comes along when needed.
We the people control who gets the POWER but are not very interested in it.
It is now time for Democrats to reflect on what happens when their leaders exercise power
Free Market Capitalism is the only economic system – everything else is control or subjugation.
Capitalism has one critical flaw – one big dog can eat all the other dogs and destroy our freedom.
There is a natural role for government in keeping free markets honest with the issues of fraud, unfair competition/anti-trust, labor relations and environmental damage.
These issues are the camel’s nose under the tent for exercising power for power’s sake.
Capitalism can exist without freedom (China) but freedom cannot exist without capitalism.
The private capital markets have almost infinite expertise, resources, policies, procedures, evaluations, tests, and formulas to award capital to the highest probability of success and the greatest good.
Government has zero ability, knowledge or capability to make these decisions and will always be wrong.
Except for National Defense goals not possible to source in free markets.
Entitlements destroy and are examples of government control at its worst.
They destroy the people they intend to help, the economy and the country.
We can see it from here.
One would expect the World to be destroyed shortly after America is destroyed..
Education is a contract between parent, child and teacher.
There is nothing the federal government can do to improve this contract – nothing.
Economic diversity within the smallest government unit precludes the federal government from being effective.
Our system of government requires an informed electorate. Representative Democracy does not mean “somebody else will do it” but government has become the “town square” for anybody wanting anything and it is now too out of control to manage it, as recent events prove.
As this section grows to further educate, this Conservative Movement will provide the simplicity needed to shrink government, especially the Federal Government and get America working for “we the people.”
To start, we will offer a few thoughts to show how easy life is with principles:
Conservatism
Ronald Reagan was great because he was Conservative, Conservatism is not great because of Ronald Reagan – but he is a tremendous endorsement. It is a tragedy of our time that the Republican Party did not see this difference and build a Conservative home.
Religions are what they are today because their Books carry the message for the ages. Imagine either today if people just wandered around waiting for the next Jesus or Moses.
This Conservative Movement has started the Conservative Book for the ages and everyone is invited to contribute.
Many people have questioned the wisdom of adopting “Conservative” as our handle, given the damage inflicted on Conservatives in the political wars but that is the very reason we are applauding it. Conservatism is the unambiguous, unwavering enemy of Liberalism, just as it was of Communism and Socialism before this and the outcome will be the same because Conservative America is the “Shining city on the hill.” Conservatism is all about greatness and the empowerment of “we the people.”
Politics
There is a natural law called “The Law of Unintended Consequences” and Liberal policies violate this law every time – this why Liberalism cannot succeed. Suppress energy production and we run out of energy. Put food in our gas tank and food costs go up. Tax achievement and government revenue goes down. Promote welfare and more people sign up. Drive religion from the square and morality disappears. We can go on and on and yet, the Left never quits. What do you suppose they really want?
Capitalism
Capitalism is the best economic system because it most closely aligns with economic laws and allows ANY person to achieve success. Controlled societies do not like Capitalism because it empowers people and that should be a message to our friends on the Left.
Capitalism and Government intersect and this Conservative Movement will show how to manage that intersection. The societal flaw in Capitalism is that unfettered, a Big Dog can capture a market and establish a monopoly. Some are good and some are bad and people want government to step in when a Monopoly is bad.
This is why we have antitrust laws. There is no question government has a role to play in regulating free markets but the role of government must be limited to managing bad monopolies and keeping the market honest. The minute government tries to influence a market for social purpose, the Law of Unintended Consequences jumps up and bites us and self dealing within government acts as an accelerant. This is exactly what happened in our present crisis.
Government should never be in any commercial enterprise, especially health care, because government’s only management tool is bureaucracy which prevents achievement.
Economics
A nation’s economy has three universal components – taxes, interest and energy – that touch everyone. We know the impact of taxes and interest and we therefore know that a nation must pursue the lowest cost energy possible to thrive and technology must drive alternative costs down to the lowest cost to be adopted. Artificially inflating one energy cost to favor another will destroy the nation’s economy. How did you like $4 gas?
The fatal flaw of “bottom-up” economics is that the successful do not have to play the game and this is why it has never worked before and why it will never work, even for the candidate trumpeting it.
“Trickle-down” economics is a false descriptor offered in debate when no argument actually exists. “Jobs in the workforce” is the correct descriptor. A growing economy creates jobs and skills lead to better jobs. It is absurd to believe that labor is the engine of an economy when we know that markets are the engine. The candidate talking about “bottom up” economics has no example of its success anywhere and we have numerous examples of its failure. Say Cuba?
Every CEO in America says they will cut jobs if one candidate is elected, yet that one candidate is promising to create jobs. How is this possible?
